Turbofan Engine Market Research Report Scope/Definition

For this market research report, a turbofan engine is defined as a variant of a jet engine that releases thrust by using a mixture of jet core efflux and bypass air that has been accelerated through a ducted fan driven by the jet core. A turbofan engine that generates most of its thrust from the jet engine core efflux is known as a low bypass turbofan engine. In contrast, the engine that produces most of its thrust from the fan is known as a high bypass turbofan engine. The turbofan engine is a fuel-efficient system since the machine has more thrust for almost the similar level of fuel used by the core. This is the primary reason why turbofans are found on high-speed transports and propellers used on low-speed carriers. Low bypass turbofan engines are more fuel-efficient than basic turbojets. Most modern fighter planes use the low bypass ratio turbofan engines to ensure cruise efficiency and gain high thrust during dogfighting.
